On what was really a winter's day, the rain came down in torrents on the dot of the 2pm opening!
The Teas were undoubtedly the best part of a freezing cold and wet day but 358 people plus children came and seemed to enjoy themselves.
An enormous amount of hard work had gone on to make it a good day and a very particular thank you to those who baked and the intrepid few who came to help serve the teas.
The Teas made £725.50 and the total for the day was £2,583.56. There are still about 4 groups booked in to come round the garden in May so our total will go up by a bit and the 40% to Corsock & Kirkpatrick Church should be over
£1,000, so it is a BIG THANK YOU.
The first May Bank Holiday was a bit early for the garden and next year, 2013, we will go back to opening on the Sunday of the last May Bank Holiday, Sunday 26th May.
