Obituary
Andrew
Searle Dalton (1949-2011).

It is with great sadness that we report that, on Easter Sunday, at Crofts, Andrew Dalton died suddenly. He was much respected and will be much missed in London, where he and his family lived, and where he was the Managing Partner of Dalton Strategic Partnership LLP, a global investment management company in the City of London, and a former Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea, a past Master of the Grocers’ Company, chairman of the Oundle School Foundation, and Treasurer of both Ridley and Wycliffe Halls, Oxford University.
But
it is his presence and contribution to our church life that we will best
remember, his generosity in opening his gardens at Crofts to benefit the church
funds, and his kindnesses in supporting our church events, the Autumn sale each
year particularly received the bounty of the Croft gardens.
A smiling and courteous host of his house, which he opened to raise funds
for the Art Fund, he was also a man of fun and good cheer when entertaining us
to a glass of wine after the Garden Open Day.
Andrew will
be much missed here in the Stewartry as well and we offer our prayers and
condolences to his wife, Jennie, and Abigail, Frederick, Benjamin, and Eliza,
his children.
