Our Minister's Wedding

On Saturday 5th March The marriage took place between our Minister,the Reverend Sally Marsh and Mr Allister Russell. The ceremony took place at Kells Church New Galloway and was conducted by the Reverend David Bartholemew. Sally was given away in marriage by her son ,David,and she was attended by her daughters Rachel and Ruth. Sally wore a full length dress in midnight blue with a short white fur jacket. Ruth and Rachel wore full length oyster grey dresses with draped skirts, and white pashminas. They all carried posies of pink and yellow roses and had pink and yellow roses in their hair. A piper was in attendance and the men in the wedding party wore kilts. At the start of the service two of Allister's supporters lit candles among the flowers on the altar table and Sally and Allister lit a third candle after their marriage. Ruth and Rachel gave readings. The moving and happy occasion was attended by family and close friends of the couple.

Saturday, 5^th March 2011 was a very special occasion for Corsock and Kirkpatrick Durham Church when our Minister, the Rev. Sally Marsh, married her fiancé Mr Allister Russell at a ceremony held in Kells Church , New Galloway.

Sally looked radiant in a midnight blue taffeta gown and a short, white fur jacket. Both of her daughters, Ruth and Rachel, wearing dresses in an unusual silvery colour, acted as bridesmaids.  The men in the wedding party were resplendent in matching kilts.
