Our Minister's Wedding
On
Saturday 5th March The marriage took place between our Minister,the Reverend
Sally Marsh and Mr Allister Russell. The ceremony took place at Kells
Church New Galloway and was conducted by the Reverend David Bartholemew.
Sally was given away in marriage by her son ,David,and she was attended by her
daughters Rachel and Ruth. Sally wore a full length dress in midnight blue with
a short white fur jacket. Ruth and Rachel wore full length oyster grey dresses
with draped skirts, and white pashminas. They all carried posies of pink and
yellow roses and had pink and yellow roses in their hair. A piper was in
attendance and the men in the wedding party wore kilts. At the start of the
service two of Allister's supporters lit candles among the flowers on the altar
table and Sally and Allister lit a third candle after their marriage. Ruth and
Rachel gave readings. The moving and happy occasion was attended by family and
close friends of the couple.

March 2011 was a very special occasion for Corsock and
Sally looked radiant in a midnight blue taffeta gown and a short, white fur jacket. Both of her daughters, Ruth and Rachel, wearing dresses in an unusual silvery colour, acted as bridesmaids. The men in the wedding party were resplendent in matching kilts.
