On June 24th, Pastor Ceejay (below, centre) and Vincent (below right, in white shirt) from St Peterís church, Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Amasiri Junction Parish will be arriving for a two-week visit to get to know our congregation and our parish. We look forward to this visit very much, and are currently (June 1st onwards) drawing up the programme for their time with us. They will be staying with various members of the congregation, and sharing fellowship and meals with others. There are however, a number of planned events where we hope everyone who can will join in sharing hospitality with our visitors. The following dates need to be entered in your diaries, to join in fellowship together:
Sunday 26 June: We worship in Kirkpatrick Durham church, followed by soup & sweet lunch in the church.
Thursday 30 June: A visit to Whithorn together, to explore the village and museum.
Saturday 2 July: A ceilidh in Corsock Village Hall, starting at 7 pm, with dancing, recitations, music and refreshments. Letís teach our guests the Gay Gordon!
Sunday 3 July: Our worship at Corsock church will be followed by lunch out at venue to be decided and announced soon.
